Interactive Design is what I thought I’d bring up today. It is essentially the design of the way a user interacts with a certain function/site/ or service. It defines the way a service/site responds to a users action is centered around usability and cognitive psychology. Many Web 2.0 focused sites and services also employ an emphasis on usability and user interaction. This is not however where interactive design ends. It is not only on the web, it exists in mobile phone applications, flash animations/interactives, ATM’s and more. Interactive design allows a user to make input and react to a given service or other (ie. flash interactive). My next post will cover some excellent interactive web design examples.
